Manukau Institute of Technology is a public educational institution in New Zealand. By the end of 2019, the institute sought to expand its online learning presence and launched Fleximode Studio, an internal project designed to support lecturers and professors in developing digital learning experience.

As a digital designer, my role was to collaborate with academic staff and students to create effective and engaging learning experiences. I maintained ongoing dialogue with professors and conducted student interviews to continuously refine the learning experience.

At Fleximode Studio, we produced a wide range of visual communication assets, including videos, character animations, illustrations, printed materials, web pages, and interactive activities. My contributions drew on skills in video production, editing, web design, illustration, branding, and UX research.

Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) is an institution deeply connected to the Māori and Pasifika communities, the Indigenous people of New Zealand. As a core part of MIT’s identity, traditional Māori elements are widely integrated into the institution’s visual communication.

One of the most significant spaces on campus is the Marae, a traditional communal meeting house that plays a vital role in the community. In our design work, we balanced a bold, youthful, and engaging aesthetic with respect for the traditional elements of Māori culture.

MIT offers a diverse range of programs, from technical courses to university degrees, and serves as a cornerstone of the South Auckland community.

ConCove is a project developed by Manukau Institute of Technology, with the purpose to connect and align industry learners, vocational education, and companies in the construction and infrastructure sector. I was responsible for the visual identity and also the development of the website and some digital assets such as newsletters.
